Yes. Internetport Object Storage implements the S3 API. Any tool or library that supports Amazon S3 works out of the box — AWS CLI, rclone, Cyberduck, MinIO Client, Restic, Duplicati, and the AWS SDK for all major languages. You use the same API calls and bucket/key structure as AWS S3.

Both uploads (ingress) and downloads (egress) are included at no extra charge, regardless of volume. You pay only for the storage tier you subscribe to. This is different from AWS S3 and most cloud providers, which charge for egress and can produce large unexpected bills.

Configure your S3 tool with these credentials and you can start uploading immediately. No credit card is required for the free tier. When you need more space, upgrade to a paid tier from your account panel.

Yes. Data is stored exclusively in our Swedish data center and does not leave the EU. We operate under Swedish law and EU GDPR. There is no data transfer to the US or third-party cloud providers. You retain full ownership of your data. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request for enterprise customers.

Yes, and it is one of the most popular use cases. Restic, Duplicati, Borg (via rclone), and most WordPress backup plugins (UpdraftPlus, BackWPup, WP Time Capsule) support S3-compatible storage. Point them at our S3 endpoint and your backups go to Swedish object storage. The free 10 GB tier is enough for most small site backups to get started.
