Today, Internetport is an established upstart among the big IT giants. A position that goes completely in line with the business idea of being a down-to-earth and quick-footed player who delivers qualitatively with that extra spice of personal touch.

With headquarters in scenic Hälsingland, more specifically in Hudiksvall, they are well rooted. The business, today with 17 employees, will remain here even if the future includes local and national expansion plans.

But how did the farm boy with an agricultural degree end up in the IT industry?
- I guess I'm a bit of an odd bird, says Peter and smiles slyly and tells us that the interest in computers started as a hobby while growing up.
After school and farm work, he wound down behind the computer only to discover a world of digital pastures. He soon began to figure out different communication solutions between parties in cyberspace.
- I have always been curious and driven by the desire to develop and improve things, says Peter.
When he ended up in Hudiksvall, his farming dreams were put aside in favor of digital seed sowing in the company Internetport in 2008. The business idea was to offer hosting solutions, web hosting for companies. The customers came mainly from the USA, England and Germany. Some years later, as the Nordics caught up with the development, Internetport gained an increasing foothold in Sweden.
Today, Internetport, with over 13,000 customers, is a well-established full-scale supplier of tailored IT solutions for companies and private individuals mainly in Sweden. The business idea is basically the same today as from the beginning.
- We are the down-to-earth and price-friendly riser in the IT sky where we always prioritize qualitative and personal customer solutions over quantity, says Peter and steps into his steel-toed shoes ready for another day on the farm in Nordmyra outside Njutånger.
Sure enough, the passion for country life happened to blossom again, between broadband solutions and data centers. A substantial horse farm of 50 hectares in the scenic Nordmyra a few miles outside Hudiksvall was acquired. Today, meat animal operations with hundreds of animals are carried out here. A perfect combo according to Peter. - Actually! While the computer job challenges the geniuses, I recharge my body and soul here with physical work near the animals on the farm.

The cyber farmer, who has sort of come full circle by surrounding himself with the best of both worlds, the future is looking. The constant curiosity and drive, the desire to develop and improve still pulsates within him.
- We aim to continue establishing offices around Sweden. In Gävle and Stockholm, Internetport has already established itself, says Peter Forslund and highlights the new addition to the family, the dog Haze, who, like his master, moves worldly between the office environment at Internetport and country life in Nordmyra.
